ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Mrs. Melle Broaderick « Teacher Connection / Documents / Calendar

What an amazing turnout we had at Orientation! It's one of my favorite days of the new school year, especially as a Special Area teacher. I LOVE meeting the new students and I LOVE visiting with my previous ones!  For those of who could make it, thanks so much for visiting the Art Room. Many of you dropped of the school supplies for Special Area - thank you! Several of you mentioned that you left the supplies with the classroom teacher, no worries, they always deliver them to us.

If I didn't get to tell you at Orientation, your child will come to Art class once a week for 45 minutes. We will cover many beginning art concepts and experience a variety of art tools this school year.  Special Area will offer such events as Open House and Parent Information Night this year. I'd like to encourage you to attend those if possible. Those evenings will provide you with more details of what is covered in our Special Area classrooms. Open House is already planned for Monday, August 20th. Hope we see you there!

 Sincerely,

Mrs. Broaderick

A little about Mrs. Broaderick

If we haven't met yet, my name is Melle (rhymes with Belle) and it isn't short for anything. It's a family name and one I'm very proud to have. The students call me Mrs. Broaderick :o) .  Also a name I'm very proud to have. My husband is a paramedic/fire fighter and we have two beautiful daughters. My oldest daughter is a graduate of VCS and just recently, a college graduate from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. My youngest daughter will be a junior in the coming school year and is envolved in musical theater and chorus there.  I've been the Primary Center Art teacher now for 13 years, but I have also been a classroom teacher in first and second grades. Although I loved teaching in the classroom, I REALLY love teaching Art and especially with this age. So, I am very grateful to be teaching your child and you'll find, I take it very seriously. We will do a whole lot more then just color!

If you ever have concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I can easily be reached my our school E-mail, but you can also leave a message with our receptionist and I'll be glad to return your call.

Thank you so much,

Mrs. Broaderick
